Summary: <p>When working in a auto detailing shop, standard operating procedures should always be in effect. This help's employees develop structure, and provides a manager with a baseline of expected work. If you have ever detailed a car in your life, you know how hectic it can get. Bottles of product everywhere, towels falling on the ground, and there's never enough power chords. To help with these problems, a manager in a shop should always develop SOP's as guidelines for the work being done. This also goes for chores around the shop. For example, who is in charge of washing microfiber towels, or who is responsible for cleaning the polish pads. Every little job should have structure to keep the shop moving in one direction.
