Summary: St. Patrick's and St. John the Divine: Modern American Cathedrals in the European Tradition During a recent visit to New York I sought out a few modern urban sanctuaries: the Cathedrals of St.Patrick's and St. John the Divine on the island of Manhattan. I also try and find a different kind of "island in the stream" - searching for some stillness in the midst of a bustling JFK airport.Recorded on location in NYC and edited on a west-bound plane somewhere over the Pacific Ocean.
