Ep. 18 - First of all, Imma Do Both w/ Dancer/Director/Producer - Chenay Barnes

The Facade Project show

Summary: What’s up Facaders! Hope you are having a good start to your February! If you noticed my instagram game getting stronger I want to say thank you for following and if you haven’t well you need to follow the facade project on instagram at break the facades! I am starting to post videos of topics that I feel strongly about with this week being how to network properly so make sure you head on over to insta to hear my personal thoughts. I just want to start breaking the facades of the quotes and start showing you all my personality a bit more. This week I am talking with Chenay Barnes, She was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, works in LA doing production, directing, producing and dancing and knew her purpose in life at a young age. She was a military brat, dealt with a lot growing up but knew she had to hustle to get to where she wanted to be. She listened to other people who told her what she should be doing with her life, and then hit a breaking point to where she needed to listen to what she knew all along. In this interview she opens up to me about some traumatic experiences that she had growing up, the moment she realized God’s purpose for her life, networking and getting to LA but then the hardships that occurred while living here. She works hard and has determination to get to where she wants to be and our conversation taught me that we can make excuses, and we can wallow in self-pity and we can complain or feel down and out but we can also get up and we can keep going. And we can cry about and then handle it. What’s that one quote “are you gonna cry about it? Or are you gonna boss up?” First of all Imma do both. And I titled this episode “first of all imma do both” because this entire conversation just reminded me that there’s nothing wrong with that at all. You can feel your emotions fully and handle your business at the same damn time. @chaineb
