Summary: On this week's episode of the Project Upland Podcast we are joined by Del Whitman of D.C. Whitman Custom Gunsmithing. Del Whitman is a custom gunsmith and a skilled craftsman. His knowledge of shotguns, gunsmithing, stock making and vintage gun buying is incredible. Our conversation covers a broad spectrum of gunsmithing topics of interest to the upland bird hunter. This episode is also precluded by Episode #16 of the Project Upland Podcast with Jack Stephan where we talked about one of Jack's guns that is currently under the care of Del Whitman. Jack wanted to commemorate a lost four-legged friend and he entrusted Del to do so. While the project is obviously special to Jack, Del also shares his feelings about the project and the joy that he gets from working on all of his client's guns. Del takes pride in his work and that is no more evident than in the work he produces.
