Summary: It's hard to argue that relationships with other people are an important part of life. Everything we do, every part of our lives, is made better by sharing it with other people. We need friends, don't we? But do we really know why we need them? It's easy to approach community because we want it for ourselves, to look to the people around us make us happy, but that doesn't work. The only way to build real community is by setting ourselves aside and truly putting other people at the center of our relationships.
