FolkCast - New Year News

FolkCast show

Summary: Hello FolkCasters, it’s Folkie Phil here with news about The Last Hurrah!, our annual mix of music for the New Year. As you may know, this show started several years ago and has been added to, changed, pruned, grown, evolved and expanded every year since. The good news is I’ve just finished editing the latest edition. The less good news is that the show is becoming a real monster! It’s almost two hours long, and that means that it’s well over 100mb in size, half as big again as a normal FolkCast show. Now, I don’t want to fill up FolkCasters’ phones, computers and mp3 players with such a big file, so instead of podcasting it I thought I’d send you this special notice and invite you to visit www.folkcast.co.uk at your earliest convenience. Once there you can either stream the show from our website or download it. It’s your choice. Or, I suppose, you could leave it alone entirely - but if you do you’ll miss out on some really good music all about New Year, about time, about fire and about drink. Lots and lots of drink! I’ll be back with the first of a new year of new podcasts in January, and they will be coming direct to all subscribers to the podcast as normal. Thanks for subscribing to the FolkCast pod, and I’m looking forward to sharing another year of folk, folk-rock, singer-songwriter and roots music with you. We’re about to enter our 12th year of podcasting, making FolkCast the longest established folk podcast from the UK, so wherever you are in the world, keep our digits in your ear! The Last Hurrah is available at the website for a limited period only, and will be gone by the time our first show of January goes live. So, waste no time! Go to www.folkcast.co.uk to hear the latest version of The Last Hurrah! Have a happy and healthy New Year, and I’ll see you in 2018. Fare thee Well…
