E40: Tennessee Williams

Historical Figures show

Summary: “Life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quickly you hardly catch it going.” Not familiar? How about this one: “Stella! Stella! Hey STELLA!” Tennessee Williams is one of America’s greatest playwrights, known for penning works including A Streetcar Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and The Glass Menagerie. However, his tragic works were inspired by a difficult life; Tennessee struggled with family problems and alcoholism. He peaked commercially in the 1950’s, and tragically died after over twenty years of attempting to make a career comeback. Sponsors!
