Episode 67- Dominic Grossman: Georgia Death Race

Touching the Trail Podcast show

Summary: "You're going to have some aches and pains that seem absurd and impossible and unreasonable, but it's going to make the finish that much more sweet when you decide that you're going to swallow the pain and keep moving ahead." -Dominic Grossman What is 68 miles long and has 20,000 feet of elevation gain? The Georgia Death Race! My friend Dominic Grossman ran this race a couple of weekends ago and he joins this podcast again (the first time was way back on Ep. 16) to tell us about it. This race is absolutely brutal, with a crazy amount of elevation gain and extremely technical trails all nestled in the beautiful Northern Georgia mountains, Dominic had to suffer a lot to complete it. He went into the race with less than optimal training, but had a great mindset. Listen in as he discusses his race, his training, his recent move to Wrightwood, and some advice for me for my first 100 miler.
