Along the way, Dr. Grubbs describes how Black people are predictably less likely to receive life-saving organ transplants than whites. This book discussion was held in a book store in hyper-White area of Seattle and moderated by a White medical doctor. The Suspected Racist facilitator asked no questions about Racism, which is a central theme of Grubbs's book. Following the presentation, Grubbs spoke with Gus, branded him a "militant," and confessed she had "planned not to talk about racism."
