Summary: At an Awards Ceremony held last week, several groups and individuals were recognized for outstanding contributions to creating a climate of diversity, equity and inclusion at OHSU. I spoke with Amy Penkin from the Transgender Health Program and a fellow who was recognized for standing up when she encountered transphobia. And later, an event celebrating Ramadan was also a call for peace, solidarity and healing.
