Summary: Avital Hochstein. In a world focused on innovation, how do we continue to learn from and honor a tradition that emphasizes our connection to the past? In this class, we will explore rabbinic sources which highlight traditional thoughts about innovation, and novice thoughts about tradition. Through these sources we will ask about the changing role of women and the place of democracy in the eyes of the Jewish tradition.
