Baking For God: Shavuot as a Holiday of Transformation

Mechon Hadar Online Learning show

Summary: Avi Killip. Shavuot is the holiday of harvest. In fall we planted. For months we worried and prayed, never sure if enough rain would fall to nourish the seeds in the ground. Shavuot marks the move into a time of clarity, security, and abundance. After a cold winter, Shavuot brings with it the ease and warmth of summer. We take a collective sigh of relief and release. The holiday of Shavuot is about reaping and sharing from life’s overflowing cup.
