Summary: During the time of Jesus' resurrection, two men were leaving Jerusalem and going on the road to Emmaus. They were dejected and had lost heart. Then they had an encounter with the Risen King of Glory, Jesus Himself. That encounter with Him brought them out of the dark shadows, lit their hearts on fire, and caused them to not walk towards the sunset anymore, but toward God's Holy City. Jesus wants to break every shadow in our lives and make our hearts on fire again.
