Jones’ book, A Perfect Husband, the story of novelist-turned-murderer, Michael Peterson, became the acclaimed Lifetime movie The Staircase Murders, starring Treat Williams and produced by Lionsgate TV. Jones has also authored the New York Times best seller, Cruel Sacrifice, the unspeakable story of four teenage girls who committed one of the most heinous teen murders America has ever known, The Embrace: A True Vampire Story, a strange and cautionary tale about teen violence in America’s heartland, Red Zone, a behind the scenes account of an infamous dog mauling in San Francisco, Michael Jackson Conspiracy, which takes on the media’s role in the court of public opinion, and Della’s Web, the story of a suburban Black Widow, soon to be featured on the new ID show, Fatal Attractions. Before landing her own crime series, Jones created and hosted a reality TV show called The Justice Hunters, which ran on the USA network in the weeks prior to the 9/11 attacks. Currently, True Crime with Aphrodite Jones is produced by Peacock Productions, a division of NBC News, and will air on the Investigation Discovery channel in early 2013.
