Summary: It's been a very interesting week here in the Pacific Northwest, home of the Podcast Cafe : raging wildfires, air full of smoke and ash, then a giant storm on the day of the Full Moon bringing torrential rains and winds strong enough to topple trees and knock out power at the cafe. In the midst of all this elemental power and dramatic planetary upheaval, we lit some candles, opened the cafe to our neighbors and spun out this mix of newish music that has been tickling our earholes here in late Summer. "Rain Return" features a bunch of cafe regulars like Wilco, Beck, Built to Spill, Father John, Beirut, Kurt Vile and Laura Marling, while also bringing is some new friends that we'd love for you to meet, like Courtney Barnett, Yaima, SaQi, Hot Chip and Pepper Proud. DJ Fundi gets things started off, while DJ Playaduster steps in midway through to blend in some new, groovy sounds from the world of electronica and sacred bass music. Hope y'all enjoy!
