Summary: Welcome to “Simply Sonatas at Sainer” presented by La Musica International Chamber Music Festival in Sarasota Florida. The “Simply Sonata” Series features La Musica musicians performing duets in a smaller theater giving the audience a closer feel to the musicians and thus being more intimate with the music being performed. First we will be pleased to hear Prokofiev’s “Sonata for Two Violins in C Major, Op. 56” performed by Claudio Cruz and Cecilia Ziano. Then we will hear Brahms’ “Sonata in F minor for Viola and Piano, Op. 120, No. 1” performed by violist Bruno Giuranna and pianist Derek Han. The final piece will be Barber’s “Sonata for Cello and Piano in C minor, Op. 6” performed by cellist Antonio Meneses and pianist Derek Han.
