Summary: 17 years ago today, June 28, 1999 at 10pm on 91.9FM radio station in New York City, The Ready Cee Show sparked it's first broadcast on the airwaves on Hiphop's hometown & most important radio market. DJ Ready Cee & host, The Walkin L' brought the authenticity from the Bronx every Saturday night and became a beacon of REAL HIPHOP in a time where many shifted focus to more commercially influenced artists and lifestyles. For years people one by one jumped off the peaks of Hiphop into the fire pits of hot-burning commercial garbage but THE READY CEE SHOW has persevered throughout the turbulent times and held true to the sound that birthed it in the first place. Even though we've lost The Walkin' L in recent months, we continue to stay focused on the task we embarked upon years ago and bring only the top choice selections that are so hard to find in these oversaturated times. We would like to collectively thank each and every individual who has ever tuned in, downloaded, streamed or heard The Ready Cee & Walkin L Show in any form; and salute to you for spreading the word and helping keep us alive in the streets everywhere. To every DJ who has ever spun a record, Serato, CDJ, anything we say SALUTE! To every emcee or rapper who has ever spit a freestyle, written verse or battle rap on the show we say SALUTE!
