Summary: In 2005 I discovered an amazing instructional DVD called “Mix It Like A Record” which dramatically affected my skill level in the best ways possible. The DVD featured mix engineer Charles Dye walking through an entire mix using plugins and was extremely eye opening to me at the time. Some time later he became a regular guest on one of my favourite podcasts, The Project Studio Network and I continued to learn more and more from him. So you can imagine my happiness level when he agreed to come have a chat with me for the show! Charles has since pivoted from audio into filmmaking and he’s no slouch there either! His debut short film, “Two Secrets” is an amazingly well told “coming of age” story based on true events.
