The Music Show: Raymond Acevedo, Tony Lucca, and the Mad World of 80s music

Kroll Call show

Summary: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19 (6pm ET/3pm PT) They say that music is a universal language, and we’re proving it with an hour of topics that will be music to your ears. Raymond Acevedo is a Puerto Rican rock music singer who, in 1985, became part of one of the most successful Latin boy bands of all time: Menudo. Now, Raymond will celebrate his birthday a few days early by discussing his musical journey, his influences, and his new music. Tony Lucca got his start on the Mickey Mouse Club and as a contestant on the NBC singing competition The Voice. Now, as he prepares to release a self-titled album (his eighth overall), Tony discusses his experiences and gives listeners a preview of his new songs. Then, Lori Majewski continues our musical theme by discussing her book Mad World: An Oral History of New Wave Artists and Songs That Defined the 1980s. Get ready for a ride in the Kroll Call time machine as we head back to the ’80s — the 1980s, the time machine doesn’t go back to the 1880s!
