BW 50: Creating Mixdown for the Unofficially Official Anniversary Movie Podcast Show - Binge Watchers Episode 50 - Special Edition - Countdown - Nicky T - John Travis - Filmmakers

Binge Watchers show

Summary: Whoa, we have been podcasting for a year. There have been many ups and downs on this audio roller coaster...both adventurous rocks and disastrous rolls. One of us almost died from a blood clot, the other had his annual nervous breakdown and deep meditation to restore his wizard powers. Scripts did not sell, feature films did not get made, our other podcast was cancelled, our new comedy channel didn't take off, one girlfriend broke hearts, and one wife got disinterested. A short film did get made in the mix of all of this chaos called life, but it failed to connect beyond a small dedicated audience. We had several conversations with other comedians, filmmakers, musicians, and artists that led us to a greater understanding of how the universe shakes things down. But time seems to be very cyclical. To celebrate 50 episodes, we were going to do our Die Hard 2 holiday commentary track, but Nicky T screwed that up, so John Travis scoured the internet for TOP 50 movie lists, like literally top 50 and only #50's out of some popular genres: horror, comedy, drama, scifi, and indie. Then tests Nicky T to see how well he has binge watched the selections, and what their vodka-soaked memories recall about each movie. Star Wars fan trailers are debated at the last minute and Jason Wells provides our soundtrack with "Blue River." Boston Dot Com reports "Silent Night, Bloody Night" as the top 50 horror movie. Time Out London lists "When Harry Met Sally" as top 50 comedy. Game Radar marks "Barbarella" as top 50 scifi. Gear Patrol claims "A History of Violence" as top 50 drama. Empire Online lists "The Wrestler" as top 50 indie.
