I met Ernest at an event at my wife's church called Rising Hope Sunday, where graduates of the Rising Hope prison ministry program talk about how it changed their lives. In this interview, Ernest talks about how he ended up in prison, how he helped change the culture of violence in Sing Sing, and how he educated himself and earned his freedom. Ernest's story is an example of how all of us, no matter what we've done, no matter where we are, have the power to change our lives for the better.
