The Psychic Viewpoint show

Summary: On today's show, Rosie, Numa and Jason are going to discuss how you can use hydrosols in your daily life and the benefits they can bring.  Here at Blended Herbal Treasures we have been listing the hydrosols we have produced this week and now we would like to discuss how we are using them and how you can benefit by using them. Join us to find out how to use these lovely waters and how you can incorporate them into your body products and skin care. Hydrosols, hydrolats, or floral waters are made when essential oils are distilled. Hydrosols contain water-soluble components of the plants as well as small amounts of oils, so their chemistry is more complex than that of distilled oils. They tend to be gentler, too. Hydrosols are a product of the essential oil steam distillation process.  During this process, hot steam is moved through the plant material, forcing it to give up its “essence.” Once it does, the steam containing the essence is moved through a condenser and into a separator, where the oil is separated from the water. The oil is the essential oil, of course, and the water is the hydrosol. Most of the essential oil’s chemical constituents are retained in the hydrosol, which means that it also retains many of the essential oil’s properties (the end-hydrosol usually contains about .02% essential oil,).  Hydrosols are quite affordable compared to essential oils and are being used extensively in Aromatherapy.  The cost depends upon the essential oil that was used in the distillation process. Today's show is produced by Rosalea of Blended Herbal Treasures and cohosted by Numa and Jason. *The opinions expressed by the guests are for entertainment purposes only and those guests providing comments are theirs alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Psychic Viewpoint Show or its host.*
