Very recently there was a super bad vulnerability found on most newer versions of machines running windows.http://thenextweb.com/microsoft/2014...vulnerability/ So we of course had to update a ton of stuff, but before we can do that we have to test everything to make sure it works and does not break anything. What happened today was a miscommunication on when this downtime was going to take place. As soon as we found out, we put up messaging and did our best to spread the word on worse than short notice. We will have the game servers back available for player as soon as possible, and we once again thank you for your patience.   Official Policy Stance on Support of Player Run Events https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?558850-Official-Policy-Stance-on-our-Support-of-Player-Run-Events One of the things that we’ve seen detract from these events is the negative behavior and actions of other players. Specifically, we know that players moving throughout the performance area on mounts can be particularly frustrating and distracting. To combat this problem we’re looking into what options are available to help combat this behavior in designated performance (stage) areas. We’ll also be removing players who are mounted from the stage area manually in the meantime. Typically, we’ll take this action upon receiving a help request. We will also take this action if we happen to see it occurring while monitoring events. If this behavior is repeated after we issue a warning we will be taking further action including banning the trolling players. Please keep in mind that this policy is for events that use designated stages. We cannot provide support if the events are held in areas with quest givers, standard gameplay, etc.   If a GM does witness blatant and intentional disruptive behavior other than being mounted in the performance areas we will take action against that disruptive behavior as well. We want to take a common sense approach of fostering these events and removing anyone displaying harassing or “troll” behavior.   That statement was indicating if there are events in areas where standard game-play is expected (areas with quest givers, crafting stations, etc.) that we won't be taking action on players who are simply mounted and turning in quests for example. Bad behavior is still unacceptable anywhere in Middle Earth.   Music System is Reverting to Pre Update 15 in the next Update https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?&postid=7268587#post7268587   Phone Closures for the Holiday’s https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?&postid=7266461#post7266461 11/27- Thanksgiving 11/28 12/1- Team Charity Event 12/16- Company Event 12/24- Christmas Eve 12/25- Christmas 12/31- New Year's Eve 1/1/15- New Year's Day   November 21-23: Lootbox Weekend 26 – December 4th: 25% Bonus XP December 5 - 7 : Hobnanigans 12 – 14 : Buried Treasure 16- January 15th : Winter Festival   Layanor’s Did You Know http://layanor.wordpress.com/2014/11/19/lotro-did-you-know-level-100-stat-caps/   Contact Information Email: lotro.reporter@gmail.com Twitter: @lotroreporter Facebook: LOTRO Reporter Voicemail: 616-666-6778 or the widget on the right side of the screen when you visit the site.
