He has a PhD in the "biomechanics analysis of the training principles in strength and conditioning"  (Cardiff School of Sport), coaches several members of the British Olympic Judo team and is an honorary lecturer at University College London. Having worked in college and university sport in the USA and UK Ben took an internship with the Olympic Medical Institute as an SC coach. Ben then led the Sports Science and Fitness at Birmingham City FC in the English Premier League before moving on to the British Olympic Association / English Institute of Sport Intensive Rehabilitation Unit (IRU). The role of the IRU is to accelerate the rehabilitation of injured Olympic athletes. Ben was responsible for providing SC support and coaching to injured Olympic athletes and developing innovative solutions to rehabilitation problems within his inter-disciplinary team.
