Summary: The Messiah and savior of the world had been with them for nearly 34 years. He had preached the gospel, performed miracles and fulfilled prophecies. But they hadn't really seen Him for who He was. Their eyes and hearts were too full of their own desires. They missed what He was saying and doing, too intent on seeing and hearing what they wanted. Entering Jerusalem on the very first Palm Sunday He was preparing to die. As they celebrated His arrival He knew it was really His exit. He'd soon be arrested. He would be on the cross by the end of the week. They were looking but they couldn't see the King!
