About Listen for Life™ and Travels With Music™ Founded in 1998 by internationally renowned musician and social entrepreneur, Donna Stoering, Listen for Life is a global non-profit music-media organization dedicated to reviving the power of music worldwide. Headquartered in Oakland, California, Listen for Life has affiliate studios/production facilities in 45 countries worldwide, and has thus far amassed more than 400 hours of proprietary, fully rights-cleared video content of Master Musicians from around the globe performing original music compositions on instruments native to their cultures, and being interviewed in their native languages about their culture, their customs, their inspiration, and their way of life. Travels With Music, a production of Listen for Life, leads K12 classrooms and homeschoolers on an interactive exploration of 15 world cultures, with Master Musicians as their guides. She is an internationally-known musician, performer, producer, educator and entrepreneur. She has compiled numerous honors and awards to date including being named “Woman of Legacy 2013” by Powerful Women International (PWI), a Grammy Award nomination in the recording artist category, and Honorary Board member of numerous music schools and arts series. A Marshall Scholar, Donna completed her B.A. and M.A. degrees by age 19. An experienced educator, she has taught at the K-12 and university level. Furthermore, she has guest-lectured and taught at music schools worldwide, including Julliard. She was the creator, designer, artistic director, and co-producer of Listen for Life’s multimedia program, <a href="http://www.travelswithmusic.com/">TravelsWith Music</a>. Additionally, she is a published author, leads music-based spiritual retreats throughout USA and abroad, is an international keynote speaker, and a founder of music festivals and concerts series on three continents. Peter Maud is the executive director of <a href="http://www.listenforlife.org/">Listen for Life</a>. In the past, he has served as director of business development for Sibelius, USA, a leading music software company.Peter headed the company’s U.S. launch of digital sheet music in 2000, and continued through Sibelius’ acquisition by Avid.
