Summary: Canva is a great tool that combines a powerful search function (for royalty free images) and a powerful (yet simple) graphic design tool. You can easily create images for blogs, twitter, facebook, etc. you can use standard preset sizes or dial in your own. I just did one for my G+ account at 926 x 523 It's a great tool with very little learning curve. There are a ton of free options, and if you want to use some of the images it will cost you $1.
