He was an Olympic gold medalist in 1988 and a World champion in 1989. Monday will discuss the upcoming World Team Trials being held in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Hughes will receive the George Tragos Award at the 2013 George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame inductions on Saturday, July 13 in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a nine-time UFC welterweight champion and a two-time All-American for Eastern Illinois.
