New Orleans Songs and Stories with Andrew Duhon

GoNOLA Radio : The New Orleans Podcast show

Summary: New Orleans singer/songwriter Andrew Duhon has done a good bit of international travel, from the UK to Spain to Sri Lanka and from the Gulf Coast to West Coast in the United States. He travels in part to stay “as uncomfortable as possible,” channeling that unrest in his songwriting, but always returns back to New Orleans, where he continues to “fall in love with a different part of it” each time. Andrew’s songwriting, travels, love for New Orleans and more is discussed in this episode of GoNOLA Radio with our hosts Lorin Gaudin and George Ingmire. The New Orleans artist’s last album “The Moorings” is Grammy nominated and includes bluesy, heartfelt songs that can be heard along with others at his local shows on Frenchmen Street at Three Muses and d.b.a. as well as New Orleans festivals like French Quarter Fest and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The latter he plays on Friday, May 2 at 12:20 p.m. on the Fais Do Do stage. Also in this episode, hear what Andrew and our hosts love about Jazz Fest, including their top fest food favorites.
