Summary: In this episode of our web video series we demonstrate Illusion Knitting. Illusion Knitting also know as shadow knitting is a color knitting technique that uses textured stitches to create the illusion of a hidden image that can only be seen at a an angle. Directions for Dishcloth demonstrated: Cast on 40 stitches in the lighter color then pick up the darker color. Row 1: Knit one row with the darker color. Row 2: Using the darker color Knit 10, Purl 10 and repeat until the end . Row 3: Pick up the lighter color again and Knit the right side row. Row 4: Using lighter color Purl 10, Knit 10 and repeat until the end. Repeat these 4 rows for 8 inches When your cloth is around 8 inches finish off by ending with 2 rows of the lighter color. Then bind off with the darker color.
