Speculator’s Corner Book writes It should be emphasized that the demo was a showcase for the game and many of the things could have been accentuated to be more ‘showy” As far as elites, I’ve always wanted the elites to be ‘elite’ versions of normal skills (like prot spirit 10 sec…10% reduction and the elite Shielding Spirit 16 sec and 16% reduction) The Shatner is a GREAT name (thanks Tiger Feet!)…Although…I’m getting a good vibe from “Krack-at-the-court”. Following Tasha’s was seems to work well for me when I’m helping others who are lost. Have them look ober their map while you are looking at Wiki. Ask them about towns they have until you get to one that they don’t have…take a step back and look to who gives the previous quest…and who gives the reward. You should be able to find out where they are quickly. Boobie soft? really? Nice addition to the dynamics of the show Another greatand informative show…Keep up the good work! Book and Jack the Spinner says Good evening gang I am just catching up with my correspondence and found this collection of thoughts that I meant to send after episode #11, but forgot. I blame old age This is mainly a question for Tasha, but all feel free to chip in. Tasha’s thoughts on playing Ranger in the demo at Gamescom were quite interesting, particularly the section on her pet being unresponsive. Of course, this is a common complaint by the GW1 community as well, so I wondered if Tasha plays beastmaster much in GW1. I love my pets and play with them often, particularly farming Totem Axes and Shards in the Wailing Forest in FoW (mainly for fu), is an effective way to learn and hone pet control skill. Personally I feel that pets get bad press because players just don’t understand pet mechanics (I am not suggesting this applies to any of you). Well, as the pet is an integral part of the GW2 Ranger’s character mechanic, it is obviously of no use if the pet is actually unresponsive. In GW1, the two main causes of pets appearing unresponsive are (in my opinion) 1) Out of aggro, the pet must be explicitly ordered to attack a specific target via pet control panel and skill usage. They will not attack out of aggro unless both conditions are met, if both conditions are met, they will attack instantly from flatbow range or a shade outside. 2) Pets, annoyingly, can stand around amidst the enemy, in which case they are body-blocked, or blocked by a terrain feature (no body-blocking in GW2 so that won’t apply, though terrain blocking will I assume). Thoughts from the floor? enjoying the shows Jack Togo’s Soapbox What can I do if I don’t like any of the armor sets for my profession? Protips You guys talk a lot about keybindings in previous shows, but how do you guys keybind? Emails Captain Martin calls in Toom Cools says Hey Relics of Orr team. I spoke with … whoever it is that plays on the Relics of Orr account in Guild Wars, and told him/her that i would send in my mp3 “phonecall”. However, after listening to myself a few times, i realized that my voice just isn’t meant for radio or podcasting. Since i respect your show, i decided to mail you instead of wrecking your show with my monotonous voice. Your show is great! I especialy like the way you divide the show [...]
