RadioTalk: Social Media Best Practice

RadioTalk from The Radio Academy show

Summary: In this week’s RadioTalk, freelance social media and radio producer Heather Davies (one of our 30 Under 30) shares some examples of best practice in social media from across the radio industry. Heather speaks to Claire Hawke from BBC Radio Cornwall about how they as a station response to the recent bad weather online, and to Matt Deegan from Folder Media and Fun Kids about what tools and research are available to radio stations to assess the effectiveness of their social media campaigns. James Carpenter (another 30 Under 30) also catches up with Kellie Redmond from Somethin’ Else about how their 6 Music show #nowplaying responded in real time to the death of Lou Reed, and hears from BBC Northampton’s Rob Adcock about a documentary he recorded using his iPhone, purely for social media. And of course, we’ve got more wonderful memories from the week in radio history with David Lloyd’s Radio Moments. Enjoy!
