Summary: The History Podcast #34 This History Podcast touches on one of our favorite topics: Pro Wrestling. Today we discuss "kayfabe." Obviously, Pro Wrestling is fake and most of it is staged. Kayfabe is pig Latin for "Be Fake", or at least that is its speculated origination. The word has become a major part of the wrestling nomenclature with the advent of the internet. What is most interesting about kayfabe, is that some times it isn't. Sometimes the obsessive and well informed super fan does not know what is real and what is fake.
