STP 028: Corbett Barr – Lifestyle Entrepreneur & Traffic Ubermensch

Shark Tank Podcast show

Summary: 18 Months, 2 Blogs, 6 Figures - Now Corbett is obsessed with TRAFFIC - yours! Perhaps you have had a time in your life when it feels like the walls are crashing down all around you.  Corbett experienced this after the financial meltdown of 2008.  When his startup essentially folded, he did what we all would probably do.  He jumped in the car with his wife and headed down to Mexico.  Huh?? Corbett's favorite success quote: "Don't ask what the world needs.  Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” -Howard Thurman Corbett had an amazing epiphany while he was in Mexico (not the kind you had during spring break in college) He had a major pivot point and what ensued changed the direction of his life.  You may not be interested in blogging or websites, and that's ok, but Corbett's story can be applied to anyone who feels like they haven't yet figured out how to build their career around their life, instead of the other way around. I dare you not to be inspired by listening to Corbett's story and the successful company he has built around his Think Traffic website.  I have quotes from Corbett tacked to my wall, and my hope is that you will take what you learn in this session and make something happen!  Good Luck out there~ Jump IN!
