The Secrets of Qigong Masters show

Summary: An emerging mind-body innovator, Anthony Guilbert is as master educator, writer, Qigong & Taiji teacher, and integral entrepreneur. Prone to the belief that specialization is for insects, Guilbert may best be described as a modern "renaissance man." Guilbert holds a Masters in English Literature from Hofstra University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Long Island University. Over the last 15 years, he has made his living as an educator, teaching writing and working primarily with ?at–risk? and nontraditional college students. In 2004, just six years into his teaching career, he was included in Who's Who Among American College Professors. Guilbert's interest in mind-body arts is diverse. His training in martial & spiritual arts began when he was just 12 years old, and include advanced studies in Soto & Rinzai Zen Buddhism, Kodokan Judo, and Shin-shin Touitsu Aikido. With a strong background in the 'gentler' Japanese martial arts, his interest in Taiji and Qigong began in 1991 after a nearly debilitating car accident. By 2000, Guilbert had put aside his martial path and began to pursue energy arts as a practice and area of scholarship. In recent years, he has studied many notable teachers including Master Yun Xiang Tseng, James MacRitchie, and Dr. Roger Jahnke. He is a certified teacher of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi with the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi in Santa Barbara, CA and credentialed by the state of Colorado to teach holistic movement arts in the community college system. Guilbert is best known in Qigong & Tai Chi circles as the publisher of ?Into Mountains, Over Streams: an International Journal of Qigong & Taiji Culture, online.?
