“The Paleo Primer” Book Review and Interview

Primal Diet - Modern Health show

Summary: Keris Marsden and Matt Whitmore are making a spash in London with their Fitter London training facilities and nutrition coaching. And now their happy little book called "The Paleo Primer", published by Mark Sisson's new Primal Publishing Company. "The Paleo Primer" is compact, entertaining and clear, outlining the what and why of Real Food eating in the first 60 pages.  It's perfect for anyone wanting to start eating better who needs the bottom line to get motivated and start shopping and cooking. There are 100 Recipes, all of them simple and short.  BUT... Simple in this case means targeted use of unique combos of foods, spices and techniques.  A simple Poached Egg with Salmon and Steamed Spinach... Chicken Vindaloo... Fish Fingers... Root Veggie Croutons!   Lamb and Cumin Burgers too! They make use of anchovies, turmeric, chestnuts, mayo and other surprises to give a little kick to almost anything.  The photos are clear. The instructions are easy. I like their chatty style - it's friendly and approachable.  We had a fun conversation which I think you'll enjoy hearing.  They're happy, healthy people making a difference and building community around better fitness and food.  Find their website here, and they have two facebook pages. One for the training center, and one for food.  Neat, eh? Listen in to our entertaining podcast, and get their book on Amazon or at Barnes and Noble.  It would make a great gift to yourself and your mother-in-law.
