Summary: We're back, Well, not we exactly... it's a one-off show this week spotlighting an up and coming figure in the world of horror genre - Adam Wingard. Having seen his recent wide release You're Next and taking a little more from it than the generally dismissive reviews, prompted a trip through a quite interesting filmography from this new voice. From his $2,000 debut film Pop Skull, to the insane, violent Home Sick through A Horrible Way To Die, it was fascinating to witness Wingard expand, evolve and mature as a director. It's not wall to wall praise to be sure, there are some cloying cliches and choices which get brought up but overall there is a sense of earnest glee in the violent decadence, and most importantly honest tribute to the horror genre roots that formed the filmmaker. Along the way the topic of "mumblegore" is discussed with tip of the iceberg coverage of the web of names and faces that are behind the movement. Finally, a three pack of voicemails get covered catching up on some excellent discussion topics from the past few months and allows for the sharing of great title recommendations and show topic suggestions.
