Summary: The Shoemaker and the Elves A special kids story for the Christmas holidays about a kind old shoemaker and his wife lived in a small village. After many years of making fine shoes, he could not earn enough money to live on. He did not know what to do, but his wife had faith that something would happen to change their situation. The Shoemaker was disappointed that he would not be able to help the village children with new shoes this holiday, so when he went to sleep he prayed to the spirit of Christmas to help him.
