Summary: Television news scenes of high-speed chases down major freeways, investigations of murders and armed robberies, SWAT teams closing in on a drug bust – these are all images that come to mind when we think of the roles played by law enforcement officers. But such images seem foreign to citizens in most of Georgia, who live in small towns and large farming areas.
