Summary: Police Reform Advocates On The DOJ Consent Decree: The Department of Justice and the City of Seattle have reached agreement on how to reform the Seattle Police Department. Civil rights and community groups like the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington and El Centro de la Raza requested the DOJ investigation in the first place, citing use of force violations and biased policing. These groups were ultimately not a party to negotiations between the DOJ and the city. What do they think of the deal? Did they get the results they hoped for?
