Boggis got his start in the fantasy sports business by submitting some interesting statistics of ADP versus actual player performance of fantasy baseball hitters versus pitchers to Brendan Roberts of Sporting News (now at ESPN). Brendan Roberts brought Boggis in to write weekly fantasy baseball articles for Sporting News for two years. Roberts gave Boggis his nickname of “The Sultan of Stats” which he still uses today. Boggis went on to write a weekly minor league article for Mike Beacom of Pro Fantasy Sports. In 2007, Boggis decided to go out on his own and create his own fantasy sports empire with the creation of the Fantasy Sports Empires website which features written articles and podcasts for both fantasy baseball and fantasy football. Boggis’ niche is the sale of a draft preparation spreadsheet for both fantasy baseball and fantasy football each season. Over the past 5 years, he is the fantasy football commissioner of Atlanta’s top rock radio station (Rock 100.5 The Regular Guys Show) which features such celebrities as Will Turpin (Base Player of the rock band Collective Soul), Comedian Bert Kreischer (The Travel Channel’s Trip Flip and Bert The Conqueror), and John Kincade (National sports talk show host on the CBS Sports Radio Network). Boggis can be heard each Thursday morning during fantasy football season as the fantasy football expert on the T&A Morning Show in Myrtle Beach, SC. Boggis resides in Atlanta, Georgia. When Boggis is not involved with fantasy sports, he is the manager of content strategy for McKesson Corporation’s customer website. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama and an MBA with emphasis in management information systems from Webster University.
