Finding Self-Love Through Your Wardrobe With Lindsey Coco

Your Life Your Success with Anne-Sophie Reinhardt show

Summary: *This is my podcast for Day #4 of the first ever Self-Love Blogging Carnival! Find all the juicy details here! And check out the wonderful and inspiring blog posts of those that participated.  Imagine never having the thought aka. meltdown of "I don't know what to wear today". You can't? Well, I gotta be honest. I can't either. However, for Lindsey Coco of Coco's Closets, this thought is a completely foreign concept. Lindsey is a NYC based stylist who is passionate about helping others persevere through hard times by redefining their wardrobe. Lindsey’s interest for fashion began at nine years old when she found a website to design outfits for her dolls. Her outfits became the talk of her third grade class and from there, her destiny was ignited. She became the youngest shopaholic in the Boston area and launched Coco’s Closets while she was still in high school. She soon began styling for national magazines and fashion websites while continuing to style her clients for events, business meetings and everyday wear. Lindsey believes that fashion should not be limited to celebrities and the “elite”. And I agree. That's why I'm excited that Lindsey is joining me for this episode of Your Life Your Success.  In our conversation we talk about style, yes, but we also talk about so much more. We talk about ignoring the one gift we were given in order to go after a different dream; one that is not aligned with our true purpose and skills. We talk about the fact that once you tap into your true purpose, the universe conspires to help you in every way possible. We talk about not suffering in silence and instead sharing your suffering with others. We then dive into the hazards of comparing yourself with others on social media, celebrities' true happiness and outward appearances. Lindsey shares her favorite self-care tools and routines and how she copes during times of struggle and the feeling of losing her identity. Her new adventure with Conscious Magazine called Fashion Fights Back is not only her passion project but also a wonderful cause. My favorite quote of our conversation: Dress for you and never dress for what's on trend.
