SMRPodcast #179: Fingerprint Readers, Colors And Camera Gimmicks

SMRPodcast show

Summary: SMRpodcast #179 is online and ready to download. This week is iPhone 5s and 5c announcement week, and, Terrance Gaines and Allison Sheridan joins the crew to talk Apple. As is usual with the iPhone, the 5s sounds like it will be a fairly awesome device. The enhanced camera just may put the iPhone back on top when it comes to camera phone supremacy. Apple addresses the smartphone entry market with the iPhone 5c, a lower end, but, still pretty decent piece of hardware starting at $99. The 5c is the only device that you will be able to pre-order, so, it will be interesting to see if the combined 5s and 5c can beat 1st weekend sales of the iPhone 5. We talk a bit about the new Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch. Terrance and Robb are both watch snobs, but, are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the Gear. We poke fun at Molly Woods "review" of the Nokia Lumia 1020, Android Music comes to Android and iOS, and, Microsoft, smartly, decides to release Windows 8.1 to developers via MSDN and Technet. We've got all this, our picks, and more in episode #179 of the SMRpodcast...
