Selling From the Stage – Getting That Gig

Marketing Musician show

Summary: In today's episode we talk about selling items from the stage, and we also talk about getting that first gig. In my "tales from the road" I talk about playing with a fill in that got so drunk he couldn't even play. Selling More Merch at Shows In a recent article by David Hopper he put together an article called A Psychological "Trick" to Sell More Music (and T-Shirts) at Live Shows  in the article he talks about how we can learn from places like Subway, Chipotle, etc who have a tip jar at the end of their ordering process. Moe's is a place that has a system in place that when someone leaves a tip the cashier rings a bell and the whole line says "thank you". Can you imagine the pressure on the person behind the person who just tipped the row? Cause if you don't tip, everyone  will know. Benefits of Selling From the Stage 1.
