Summary: This week we’re pleased to feature a very special extended interview our host Lee C. Camp conducted back in 2009, during his research for Who Is My Enemy?, with the Rev. Dr. Naim Ateek, head of the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center in Jerusalem. In addition to other things, Dr. Ateek was the first to articulate a Palestinian theology of liberation in his book, Justice and Only Justice: A Palestinian Theology of Liberation. We hope you enjoy hearing the conversation these two shared together on a sunny May day amidst the surrounding traffic and the neighbor’s roosters. Near the end of the interview, Dr. Ateek mentions the Sabeel Prayer; the text of that prayer is as follows: Merciful and loving God, we give you thanks for the many blessings you have so graciously given us.
