Summary: Climate activist, Tim DeChristopher spent 21 months in jail because he protested an illegal oil and gas lease sale in the Canyonlands of Utah. The auction was ruled illegal and canceled, but Judge Dee Benson prohibited Tim from using the canceled sale as evidence in his trial.
