MLR Episode 48 – Futures Game, Twitter Policies and The Second Amendment

The Minor League Report | SPNT.tv Network | Minor League Baseball | MiLB | MLB | prospects | Baseball | Promotions show

Summary: Sorry for the delay in getting a show posted for you folks. Producer Nick here had a few weddings he was in over the past few weeks. His wedding season is over now though and we should be good to go from here on out! Hope everyone has safe Fourth of July this week! Now on to the show! Here's what you'll get in this episode: We try (successfully?) to shoehorn a show in between rain outs, doubleheaders and other obstacles such as family time on a Monday afternoon. Mike and the Altoona Curve are feeling the vibe of MLB's best team, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Even if that vibe is through a rough internet connection in Binghamton, New York. A quick break down of Pirates prospect Gregory Polonco and his first two weeks in Double-A. Plus a nice behind the scenes setting of the coaches and players in an organization heading in the right direction. Eric, Jay and Mike discuss how Twitter has changed the way teams, businesses and people need to alter the way they consider disseminating information. The Huntsville Stars were set to raffle off a pair of guns during the first ever "Second Amendment Night" and we discuss if this is a good idea or over the line? However, directly after recording Huntsville called off the promotion so the conversation will be continued next week. Sam has introduced the term "to Appy League" something. We wrap up the show with our "Get Out of Town" picks. If you have any prospects you feel should be promoted send us your emails at feedback@mlrpodcast, or send them to us on Twitter @mlrpodcast.
