He was a ministerial adviser to Yitzhak Shamir's government and lectured for 20 years at Tel Aviv University. He writes and lectures on political, diplomatic and security issues. Dr. Sherman is currently involved in establishing The Israel Institute of Strategic Studies, an independent policy center. Michael Freund served as Deputy Communications Director in the Israeli Prime Minister's Office under Binyamin Netanyahu during his first term. He is the Founder and Chairman of Shavei Israel (www.shavei.org), a Jerusalem-based group that reaches out and assists "lost Jews" seeking to return to the Jewish people. Freund is a correspondent and syndicated columnist for the Jerusalem Post and authors the blog on Middle East affairs, Fundamentally Freund. Ruthie Blum, an American-Israeli journalist, columnist and former features editor of the Jerusalem Post,  She is the author of To Hell in a Handbasket: Carter, Obama, and the 'Arab Spring.'
