Photojournalist Paola Gianturco has documented women’s lives in 55 countries and created five books as philanthropic projects. Her images have been exhibited at the United Nations, UNESCO, The US Senate, The Field Museum/Chicago, and The International Museum of Women. Paola has been a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, NPR and Voice of America programs plus many other TV and radio shows. Her pictures have appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Marie Claire and more. Paola was a principal in the first women-owned advertising agency in the U.S.; co-developed and taught executive institutes on Women and Leadership at Stanford University; and served on the board of The Association of Women's Rights in Development. She chaired the Board of The Crafts Center/Washington DC (which worked with low income artisans in 79 countries), serves on the Board of International Nature and Cultural Adventures, is an advisor to Global Grandmothers, and a member of International Women’s Forum.
