Summary: In this episode, Keith and Woody sit down with Ben Hoelting to chat about TypeScript. The guys discuss with Ben how this new language that compiles down to Javascript can improve the web application developers are creating and how to start using it. Thanks to our guest this episode Ben Hoelting is a Software Architect for Aspenware, C# MVP and Telerik Insider.  He graduated from Colorado State University in 1997 with a BS in Computer Information Systems and a Minor in Computer Science.  Ben joined the IT industry in 1996 as an intern and has worked with .NET since its inception back in 2002. Over the last few years he has done some work for the Department of Defense. He left the government world and now works for Aspenware in Denver.  His most recent projects include a XAML line of business application that uses the ADO.NET Entity Framework to access the backend data store.  He also is working on an MS Office automation project as well as geospatial ASP.NET MVC website.  Ben is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) for Web and Windows .NET 4.0. Finally, Ben is very involved in the local .NET community and is the leader of the South Coloraodo .NET User Group.
